Water, Mud, and Damage Impacts a Business

Heavy rain, a power outage, no backup power, a failed sump pump, and then the trouble started.  Water rushed in, bringing with it mud and damage to a commercial office building.  The water and mud sat in the building over the weekend and were not discovered until the following week day when an employee discovered the water and realized the extent of the damage.  The call came in to SERVPRO of Wheaton / Glen Ellyn / Lisle and a crew was quickly sent to the commercial building to extract water and clean the mud and debris from the floors and walls. Carpeting was removed, drywall and other trim were removed and the drying of the building was underway.  The company representatives were pleased with the response and efforts of SERVPRO, despite the property damage that they endured.
